Really want to love this play couch

Our son got this play couch for Christmas (in use under 30 days) and it is already damaged. Due to how hard this couch is to assemble and reassemble my husband who was being careful when reassembling after washing the cover, one of the foam pieces ripped. This is extremely disappointing with how expensive this play couch is. I don’t think replacement cushions are sold either. I bought this for the removable washable cover feature and now I’m scared to take it apart again which defeats the purpose of it being washable.

I will say, I also bought a playmat (vegan leather) at the same time as this play couch and absolutely love it and would recommend. I believe in the company and love the quality of the materials. I just wish the play couch was more functional in keeping it intact.
