Every so often, we get a chance to collaborate on something incredible, and we’re always honored to help out with a good cause - and this is definitely an exciting collab! 

Toki Mats is super excited and proud to partner with Danielle Moss for our newest playmat design to raise awareness and donations for Childhood Cancer Awareness month. This is something incredibly near to our heart, and we wanted to talk a bit more about the playmat and the cause behind it that we’re supporting.

We’ve been tinkering with some new ideas for our newest playmat, and we’re very thrilled with how it has come out! Our Blue Floral & Stripe mat is double-sided (yes, you read that right!), and it’s a great combination of playful and sweet - just like our little ones.

Raising awareness for childhood cancer

With the Toki x Danielle Moss Playmat, we’re hoping to raise awareness and donations for an incredibly special cause, childhood cancer. Danielle’s daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia on May 16, 2020. It was an emotional journey that led to a lot of learning and many eye-opening experiences. And ultimately, that is what led her to work towards raising awareness of this devastating disease. 

As part of the cause, a portion of the proceeds of every sale will be going to an incredible charity working in this space, Alex’s Lemonade Stand. 

One of the biggest issues facing childhood cancer is that it is severely underfunded—only 4% of the billions of dollars the government spends on cancer research goes toward childhood cancer.

However, Alex’s Lemonade Stand is working tirelessly to change that and find ways to support and empower the lives of children with cancer and their families to give them new hope.

With each purchase, donations can help fund research grants for new, innovative, and novel approaches that directly address the most intractable issues in pediatric cancer research today. We would highly encourage you to check their website out and learn more about their funding initiatives and their research goals. 

We’ve seen how their work makes a significant impact in improving and supporting children with cancer and their families, and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of that.
