Customer Spotlight: HubbardHom3

As parents, life can sometimes (a lot of the time) feel chaotic and hectic. Although there’s no greater joy than raising little humans in a home full of love and mutual respect, that home may often feel cluttered, messy, and not as pretty as we’d like it to look. And that’s why we feel so much admiration for those who seem to be able to do it all. Meet Natasha, the mom behind the beautifully curated Instagram account @hubbardhom3. Her feed is full of aesthetically pleasing, modern photos featuring her family, their home, and glimpses of their day-to-day life through a rose-colored (actually, sienna-colored) lens that her followers can’t get enough of. Natasha has two children, Ayvrie and Rylee, who are 5 and 2 years old, and another little boy on the way. We asked her about what motivated her to start her Instagram page, as well as all things motherhood, and now we’re sharing her responses with you.
Q: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
HH: Hi, I’m Natasha and I’m a stay-at-home mom
Q: When and why did you start @hubbardhom3?
HH: I started @hubbardhom3 about 3 years ago. It was my way to connect with other moms.
Q: What Toki products do you have and how do you use them in your home?
HH: We have the vegan leather mat in the standard size, the play couch, and play cubes.
Q: Now that both your children are no longer babies, has the way you use your Toki mat changed?
HH: Yes, we’ve had our mat since my second child was born. We used to use it for tummy time, but now we like to use it for outdoor play and floor naps.
Q: With so many toys and play items on the market, how do you pick and choose which ones to have in your home?
HH: I try to get toys that can serve all of my kids for a long period of time. I hate getting toys that are a one-time use.
Q: What are your top 5 play items for your kids?
HH: Our Toki play couch, Toki play cubes, play kitchen, climber, and Toniebox.
Q: What would you say has been your biggest challenge in motherhood?
HH: Mom guilt. I feel like sometimes the expectation to be perfect can be overwhelming.
Q: What are your favorite parts about being a parent? Do you have any tips for going from one child to two?
HH: The memories I get to create with my little ones. Don’t buy a bunch of stuff! We transitioned a lot of the items that we used for our first child to our second.
Q: What are the most important values in your family? How would you describe your parenting style?
HH: To treat people with love and respect. Honestly, I don’t stick with a strict parenting style. I just try to do the best I can at raising kind, smart, and free-thinking little ones.
Q: You’ve created a platform in which you share glimpses of your family’s life. What are the biggest takeaways you want people to have when they visit your page?
HH: I love to share my creative side with photography, but the biggest takeaway I want people to have is that although being a parent isn’t always pretty, capturing its memories can be.
